Brandenburg an der Havel - Location and surroundings of this property

Brandenburg an der Havel, with a population of approx. 74,000, is the largest independent city in the federal state of Brandenburg. Three medieval town centres with the cathedral and the 58 bridges characterise today's townscape. In the urban area, the Havel branches out into several side arms and canals that form several islands. The river offers a wide range of water sports. On the banks of the Havel lakes, you can take a marvellous walk along the well-maintained paths and go cycling. In addition to the annual Havel Festival with around 200,000 visitors, regular events include the Jazz Festival and the theatre and cabaret festival. Brandenburg an der Havel is attractive due to its proximity to Berlin and Potsdam as well as its favourable transport connections. The distance to the state capital Potsdam is approx. 40 kilometres and to the federal capital Berlin approx. 80 kilometres.

You can reach the centre of Berlin in approx. 45 minutes with the ODEG regional express RE1 every 30 or 20 minutes.
